27 May

For any budding DIY expert out there, we know just how exciting it can be to finally order your new set of natural stone or porcelain tiles and begin installation, so much so that many of our customers are eager to know just how long they’ll have to wait before their tiles arrive and they can get started.

So, to help shed some light on this matter and give you an idea of how long it might take your tiles to be delivered, here’s everything you need to know about our delivery service.

What types of delivery do we offer?

Here at Stone Superstore, we offer economy delivery as standard which typically takes 2-3 working days from dispatch, depending on when the order has been placed.

Deliveries are made anytime between 8am and 6pm, Monday-Friday. All deliveries are subject to our standard T&Cs and are made using 3rd party hauliers - please do not book tilers for the day of delivery as we cannot guarantee the date and time of delivery, if unforeseen circumstances effect delivery times.

We’re able to offer customers flexible speedy delivery thanks to our position as a direct importer, which lets us buy tiles straight from their source and stock them in our warehouses until they’re needed.

Keep reading below to find out a little bit more about each delivery type.

1. Nominated day delivery

For many of our customers, being able to specify a date for the delivery of their tiles is an absolute must so they can ensure somebody is available on-site to deal with the delivery upon arrival. This is important, as we’re not typically able to leave a tile delivery with a neighbour.

And that’s exactly why we offer such flexibility as part of our standard economy delivery.

With this delivery option, you can simply select your preferred delivery date at the checkout on our website. Be sure to add any relevant details in the delivery notes, such as any factors that could cause accessibility issues to your property.

2. Saturday delivery

We don’t typically deliver on weekends, however, Saturday deliveries can be made to most UK addresses if specially arranged. However, there is an associated additional cost for this, which is usually an extra £45. This is the amount our hauliers charge us for their weekend service. Please note, this service is dependent on the area and courier and may not be available to all postcodes.

3. Free delivery

Finally, we do offer a free economy delivery option exclusively for paving packs in our outdoor range. Our paving packs contain 60 slabs, allowing our customers to save money on these larger order quantities.

What is important to mention when organising a tile delivery?

In order to ensure a smooth and speedy tile delivery process, it is essential that you provide us with any information that could impact how your delivery is made.

Please be sure to explain in detail any access restrictions your delivery driver could potentially encounter when coming to your property. For example, if your road is narrow, we might need to request a smaller vehicle to make the delivery to ensure that access to your property can be made.

If you have any further questions, or need specific advice regarding your delivery options, please contact our team today. Don’t forget to browse the rest of our tile ordering and delivery guides for more helpful insight into how we operate.
