Cutting & Installing Marble Tiles

All Marble Tiles are fragile to a greater or lesser extent.  Installing them properly is a skill best left to professionals.  Marble tiles require specialist cutting equipment where the cutting wheel is above the tile so that the tile can be cut from the top down.  If a cheap flatbed tile cutter is used then there is a good chance that the tiles will break across a seam when they are pushed through the wheel.  This has nothing at all to do with quality issues.  That's just the way marble is formed and why it needs special attention and patience when it comes to cutting Marble Tiles.  For the DIY installer, you can't push them too hard when installing them either for the same reasons.  Ensure you get a consistent bed of adhesive under the tiles so that you don't have to push too hard to get them on the wall evenly.  We have over 10 years experience installing all natural stone.  Feel free to call and speak to an expert in the office.
