20 years of manufacturing and business relationships in Turkey have enabled us to provide retail customers with the same products we have sourced for our own projects. In turn, this has allowed us to pass on the cost benefits we receive to customers without compromising on quality.
How we were founded
Stone Superstore was founded by two like minded business people from different, but complementary backgrounds. One is a property developer and building contractor with a wealth of experience in sourcing and installing natural stone tiles. The other is a highly successful manufacturer whose company used to fill the shelves of many high street stores.
We have 20 years of manufacturing and business relationships in Turkey.
Having spent considerable time sourcing stone for projects around the North West, firstly from local retailers, then wholesalers and ultimately importing their own stone directly from the quarries the basic idea of the “Stone Store” was born. Our purchasing power and comprehensive contacts network in Turkey (developed through 20 years of manufacturing and business relationships there) have enabled us to provide retail customers with the same products we have sourced for our own projects. In turn, this has allowed us to pass on the cost benefits we receive to customers without compromising on quality.

We are focused on customer satisfaction & generally only import 1st quality stone. We aim to provide unrivalled customer service to all our customers. Practically every online stone retailer claims they sell 1st quality stone when in fact what they actually sell is “standard grade”. This is an inferior quality product that is cheaper to source and the mark-up is higher. Some, including major high street retailers, sell “commercial grade” stones (the lowest quality) and quite often get away with it as the customer has little or no basis for comparison. If we sell a stone that is standard grade, it is advertised as standard grade and in turn will be cheaper than its 1st grade equivalent.
We maintain high standards of service using 1st quality natural stone.
We have no interest in trying to stock a hundred different stones of different qualities. Instead, we only carry stock of a few stones in one quality, 1st! These are stones we know to be popular. This way, we can focus on maintaining high standards of service & quality whilst keeping our overheads down which enables us to offer our stones for less than any other retailer. No retailer in the UK can match our quality price for price
